Belle Alvarez is originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She spent the first half of her childhood in Manila, Philippines before immigrating to the USA. Belle is starting her first season as a performer with Carnival De Resistance. As a project based performer, Belle has been featured in work presented by the Kimmel Center, Sean Thomas Boyt, Jennifer D. Yackel, Jessica Warchal-King/The Embodiment Project, and Evan Hoffman. Her work has been performed at FringeArts, the Performance Garage, the Outlet Dance Project, Inhale Performance Series, and Koresh Artist Showcase. Interdisciplinary collaborations include work with music artists Cory Neale and Julian Hartwell.
An active arts educator honored with a scholarship from the Bartol Foundation, Belle educates youth as a Teaching Artist with award-winning Pierre Dulaine’s Dancing Classrooms, Yes! And… Collaborative Arts, and Koresh Dance Company. In addition to her work with youth, Belle leads open level classes for adults at the Performance Garage. Belle earned her BFA in Dance from Temple University where she performed in work by Jillian Harris, Colleen Hooper Performance Projects, Dance Exchange, Charles O. Anderson/Dance Theatre X, Larry Keigwin, and Beau Hancock during her undergraduate years. |

Zach Bird is currently a Chicago based performer and artist who works with friends and companies throughout the city. Originally an Iowa native, his love for dance and corn brought him to the University of Iowa where he graduated with a B.F.A. in Dance Studies under the mentoring of Jennifer Kayle. After losing his interest in the multiple varieties of corn cuisine, he moved to Chicago and began dancing with Mordine and Company. Since moving to the city Zach has had the pleasure of dancing for/with Earlyn Whitehead, Hedwig Dances, Kelly Anderson Dance Theater, RE Dance, Monica Thomas, Brady VanPatten, and most recently Cattywampus Dance. He's currently working on producing his own work, which will most likely be centered around the exquisite topic of corn.

Antonia Z Brown is a dancer and choreographer based in Philadelphia, whose work has been described as “full-bodied, virtuosic and ‘space-eating’” (Kalila Kingsford Smith for thINKingDANCE). Recent projects include ensemble choreography based on sensory imagery of water flows in the body, dances where crowds of people simply embrace, and a 30 minute solo, performed by Antonia herself, that is a game of telephone between six different choreographers. Antonia was an Artist in Residence at Mascher Space Coop in Philadelphia from 2013 to 2015, and now serves on the cooperative’s Advisory Board. She has been honored as a 2014/2015 Season Co-Director of the ETC Performance Series, and the 2012 Choreographer in Residence at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. A graduate from Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges, she has danced modern repertory with DanceFusion Dance Company and in various projects with artists including Meredith Stapleton, Sean Thomas Boyt, Jacobi Alvarez, Leyya Mona Tawil, Katie Horton and Artists, and The Institute for Psychogeographic Adventure. Antonia’s work has been supported by and in partnership with Tapestry Dance Company, the Lutton Memorial Fund, Mascher Space Cooperative, the Community Education Center, the Hurford Student Arts Fund and the Philadelphia Cultural Fund.

Tyler Clark, originating from Fort Wayne, IN, is a New York City-based artist, dance teacher, and arts administrator. She received her BFA in dance and BA in journalism from The University of Iowa. Tyler is currently working with Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company, Appolonia & Dancers, Bone Collective, MATHETA Dance, and Nicole Colbert Dance Theater. In previous seasons, she has performed works by Eleo Pomare, Enrique Cruz deJesus, Ballet Mink, Sans Limites Dance, Sean Thomas Boyt, Dana Powers-Klooster, and Angela Joy. Tyler is the Operations Supervisor at Steps on Broadway, Fitness and Yoga Instructor at NUYU Revolution, and the Marketing Manager for MATHETA Dance.

Stav Comay grew up in the Twin Cities dancing ballet at the Minnetonka Dance Theater and the Academy of Russian Ballet. She dove into modern dance at the University of Iowa where she received her B.A. in Dance and B.B.A. in Marketing. While in school, she performed in many pieces, including works by Nick Leichter, Charlotte Adams, and Sean Thomas Boyt. She was also a part of the University’s Dancers in Company, where she enjoyed touring Iowa and Illinois performing at schools, theatres, and community centers. Since graduating, Stav has spent a summer working and dancing in Israel, began pursuing her 230-hour yoga teaching certification, and snagged herself a full-time job. Stav is excited to be performing with AMP for her first season!

Taylor Gillhouse is a New York City-based performer. In addition to collaborating with Sean Thomas Boyt, she has performed with Minds and Motion and Aries in Flight. She received her BFA in Dance from the University of Iowa while studying Theatre Arts and Vocal Performance. Additionally, she has studied with the Twyla Tharp Foundation on scholarship, Common Thread Contemporary Dance Company while interning, and Thodos Dance Chicago.

Leann Gioia, from Marengo, IL, has been dancing since she was four years old. She trained in many styles of dance at two different studios, first at the Beth Fowler School of Dance, and later at the Judith Svalander School of Ballet. She has attended several summer intensives such as Joffrey Chicago, ABT Austin, and Alonzo Kings Lines Ballet. After high school, she attended the University of Iowa to study dance and English. After graduating from the University of Iowa in May 2014 with a BFA in Dance and a BA in English, she moved to NYC to pursue her professional dance career. Leann is currently a company member with Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company and Pink Pig Ballet. She is also a teacher for Valerie Mae Ballet and Ballet and Body NYC, the assistant director for Pink Pig Ballet, and does part-time bookkeeping. She has participated in the work study/scholarship program at Jennifer Muller/The Works, the work/study program at the Mark Morris Dance Center, and performed in NYC with the Rachael Kosch Dance Company and Marie-Christine Giordano Dance.

Marisa Illingworth is a recent graduate from The University of the Arts with a BFA in Dance, is a dance artist in Philadelphia, PA. Since graduating, she has taken great pleasure in performing for local artists such as Shannon Murphy, Meredith Stapleton, Haylee Warner, Sean Thomas Boyt and Katherine Kiefer Stark. She values a heightened sense of emotional, social, and political awareness in physical practice and in every day life, and is very excited to continue learning, questioning, and collaborating with fellow artists in Philadelphia.

Lauren Linder, born in Muncie, IN, is a freelance dance artist based in Seattle, WA. Linder has danced with Petra Zanki, Alice Gosti, Alyza DelPan-Monley, Ktisk Contemporary Dance, Kayle + Company, and the Baker-Tarpaga Dance Project. Currently Linder is a member of an improvisational ensemble under the direction of Kris Wheeler. Her choreography has been produced by the Converge Dance Festival, the Seattle International Dance Festival, and Ktisk Contemporary Dnace through Access Velocity. Linder holds a B.F.A. in Dance and a B.A. in Spanish from The University of Iowa.

Isaac Lindy graduated from Vassar College (B.A. with Honors, Urban Studies) where he trained under Stephen Rooks, John Meehan and Katherine Wildberger. Isaac was a company member of the Vassar Repertory Dance Theater where he had the opportunity to perform works by Stephen Petronio and Larry Keigwin. Isaac is currently a Philadelphia-based dance artist where his professional credits include Opera Philadelphia (La Traviata and Oscar), Lauren Putty-White and the Putty Dance Project (iStand), Anne-Marie Mulgrew and Dancers, Co., and Alchemy Dance Company. Isaac has performed in Jennifer Muller's HATCH Performance Series (NYC), the Philadelphia FringeArts Festival, and most recently presented his own choreography at the ETC Performance Series (Philadelphia). He has furthered his training at the Paul Taylor Summer Intensive and at the American Dance Festival where he performed Merce Cunningham repertory under the direction of Andrea Weber.

Emily Medd recently graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.F.A. in Dance, a certificate in Performing Arts Entrepreneurship, and a 200 hour yoga certification. Emily performed with Dancers in Company over her time at Iowa, touring throughout the state and working with Jennifer Kayle and Kristin Marrs. Emily has also studied with the Twyla Tharp Dance Foundation and under internship with Garth Fagan Dance.

Lizzy Mello works in public health by day, but has been dancing nearly her entire life. She holds undergraduate degrees in dance and global health and a graduate degree in epidemiology. During her time at the University of Iowa, Lizzy's activity within the Dance Department ranged from collaborating on new movement-based works, dancing for undergraduate, graduate, and Faculty choreographers, and leading the department's Undergraduate Dance Organization. Lizzy is currently based in New York City, where she works tirelessly to improve others' physical and mental health and overall well-being.

Ixchel Mendez is a dance artist, mover and maker currently living in Brooklyn, NY. She studied dance at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Ixchel is passionate about movement as a way of true expression. Inspired by Dance Theater, her work encompasses the whole picture from choreography, costumes to the sets which she designs and creates herself. She strives to create a fantasy though dance and performance that she can share with her dancers and audiences.

Tyler Nemmers grew up in Dubuque, Iowa where he began dancing ballroom and ballet during his latter part of high school. He stayed in-state for school as he attended the University of Iowa. While at Iowa, he studied dance and mechanical engineering. His studies in dance concentrated on contemporary modern, ballet, improvisation and choreography but he also took courses in yoga, floor barre, hip hop, jazz, and partnering. Tyler has been lucky enough to perform in Iowa, Wisconsin, Puerto Rico, Los Angeles, and Wyoming. After graduation, Tyler moved to Madison to utilize his engineering background as a software engineer at Epic Systems in Verona. He misses the movement and the performing arts culture that once surrounded him and has made a promise to himself to always keep dance and performance a part of his life.

Daniel Park is a theatre and performance artist whose work has been performed throughout North America. His recent pieces explore the middle ground between games and theatre in order to test the meaning of agency. His body of work includes: You Are the Hero, a live video game in which the audience becomes the Hero to save the world or face Game Over; The Diamond Eye Collective: a game/theatre experience, commissioned by Temple University, that took over the university’s library, turning the players into secret agents overthrowing a nefarious organization in the stacks; And We Need to Talk: an awkward, hilarious, and deeply human improvised performance that could best be described as a game of Dungeons and Dragons mashed up with your last relationship.

Hillary Pearson is a Philadelphia based choreographer, director, educator, and creator/founder of Wear Your Feelings Productions.
She trained at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, where she holds a BFA Magnum Cum Laude in dance performance and choreography. Hillary's main focus is combining movement and fashion, on and off stage, to create moods and to tell stories that capture the viewers attention. She is interested in working/collaborating with other liked minded people on creative projects. Collaborations: Let's Dancing!

Katie Skinner is a Brooklyn-based performer, dance-maker, writer, and arts administrator. Since receiving her BFA in Dance and BA in English from the University of Iowa, she has performed the work of Kayle and Company, Charlotte Adams & Dancers, Sean Thomas Boyt, Theresa Elwell, and Emily Climer. Katie’s choreography has been shown at the University of Iowa, Triskelion Arts, and Hollins University. Katie is the co-coordinator of Baryshnikov Arts Center’s Teen After School Program, and editorial assistant for the upcoming Oxford Handbook of Dance and Politics.

Meredith Stapleton is a Philadelphia-based dance artist and teacher. She grew up in Harvard, MA training at Acton School of Ballet dancing with Commonwealth Ballet Company. Meredith graduated from Muhlenberg College with a degree in Dance and Women's Studies, including a semester at Accademia dell'Arte in Arrezo, Italy. Meredith has worked professionally with many Philadelphia artists and companies including DanceSpora, Nora Gibson Contemporary Ballet, Shannon Murphey, DRIGGProductions, Evalina Carbonell, Sean Thomas Boyt, Kat Sullivan, Joseph Ahmed, and Antonia & Artists. Meredith's choreography has been presented in PA, NY, and NJ in festivals such as Inhale Performance Series, Etc. Performance Series, Evening of Duets, and The Outlet Dance Project. In the 2015 Philadelphia Fringe Festival, she co-produced and choreographed "Traces of She" with Kat Sullivan and Evalina Carbonell. Her most recent evening length project culminated in an evening of duets "2 by 2" at The Iron Factory in June 2016. Meredith is currently on faculty at Koresh School of Dance, Philadelphia Dance Academy, and Muhlenberg College.

Margot Electra Steinberg is a Philadelphia-based dancer, choreographer, improviser, contact dancer, and teacher. She earned a BA in Dance with concentrations in Choreography and Teaching from Muhlenberg College in 2016. Margot has performed works by Donald McKayle, Sharon Vazanna, Noa Eshkol, and Randall Anthony-Smith, and has performed for The Naked Stark, Meredith Stapleton, Lauren Linder, Lyons & Tigers, Vervet Dance, Paige Phillips, Nicole Bindler, Leah Stein, Mira Treatman, and Sean Thomas Boyt. Margot's recent work has explored intimacy, care, sensuality, and consent through moving and improvising with objects.

Kat J. Sullivan is a dancer, choreographer, and writer currently based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kat graduated with a B.A. in Dance and a minor in Anthropology from Franklin & Marshall College in May of 2014. During her years of undergraduate study, she was fortunate to study under Lynn Matluck Brooks, Pamela Vail, and Jennifer Conley, as well as many other guest artists. She performed with the Franklin & Marshall Dance Company all four years, which included both faculty and students works, in addition to reconstructions of Martha Graham's Celebration and Mark Morris' Polka. Kat also practiced, performed, and lead the campus' compositional improvisation ensemble, Just Say Yes. During her third year, she studied in Prague in the abroad program SIT Czech Republic: Arts and Social Change, where she took classes in dance/physical theater, Czech history and literature, anthropological field work, and the Czech language. Upon her commencement from F&M, Kat had received a Hackman Summer Study Scholarship to research the teaching and experience of compositional improvisation with Pamela Vail, as well as the Excellence in Choreography Award.
Since moving to Philadelphia in July 2014, Kat has been performing and creating work regularly. She has performed with companies such as Trio C, SKI BALL, Antonia & Artists, Anne-Marie Mulgrew & Dancers Co., and <fidget>. Kat has also collaborated and performed the work of independent artists including Sean Thomas Boyt, Meredith Stapleton, and Evalina Carbonell. Kat has performed and shown work throughout Pennsylvania and New York; notably, in Koresh's Come Together Festival (PHL), the Philly Fringe Festival (PHL), and the Triskelion Arts Comedy in Dance Festival (NYC). Her summers have continued to include studies at the Movement Intensive for Compositional Improvisation (MICI) with The Architects in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and the Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater Summer Intensive in Minneapolis, Minnesota. |
Andy Thierauf is a Philadelphia based percussionist who specializes in the creation and performance of contemporary music. He is particularly interested in combining percussion with theater, dance, and technology. Andy teaches at Settlement Music School and is an adjunct professor of percussion at Kutztown University. He has appeared in Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Argentina, and across the Midwest at music festivals, conferences, and symposiums. Andy has performed at SEAMUS and PASIC on several occasions and is a member of the PAS Music Technology Committee. His creative research centers on seamlessly integrating technology into performance to produce collaborative, multi-media presentations with writers, dancers, actors, choreographers, and composers. In 2016 he self-published a collection of works for solo percussion and live electronics titled The Post Modern Percussionist. Andy is half of stb x at, a dance/percussion duo with dancer and choreographer Sean Thomas Boyt. The ensemble has performed at various universities, art galleries, and non-traditional venues across the Midwest and East coast. In 2012, Andy was featured as the dancing percussion soloist for a commemorative video recording of Paul Elwood’s Edgard Varése in the Gobi Desert. His collaborative work, Growing Fast in Sawdust, was featured at the 2013 PASIC Technology Day that featured his original composition and video by Sean Thomas Boyt. He continues to produce collaborative performances with various artists, and also organized and curated iHearIC, a concert series in Iowa City that features local performance artists. Andy has premiered many new works for percussion and has worked with composers such as Will Huff, Zach Zubow, David Gompper, and Paul Elwood. Andy received the D.M.A. degree in percussion performance and pedagogy at The University of Iowa under the direction of Dan Moore. He has performed with the Dan Moore Percussion Group in the US and at the 2012 Patagonia International Percussion Festival in Argentina. He is a private percussion teacher and a clinician/performer for the Yamaha Sounds of Summer Percussion Camp at The University of Iowa. A native of Cincinnati, OH, Andy received his B.M. from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and M.M. from The Ohio State University. He has studied percussion with Rusty Burge, Jim Culley, Allen Otte, Susan Powell and Joe Krygier, and composition with Tom Wells, Marc Ainger, Larry Fritts, and David Gompper.
